Ms Sarah-Jane Lewis

About

My clinical background is as a qualified Emergency Nurse Practitioner/Independent Prescriber. Until 2017 when I took up a part-time post (4 days a week) in the Faculty, I had worked my way upto an 8a post managing/supervising a Minor Injury Unit and Urgent Care Centre. My part-time status allows me to continue in clinical practice.

In my role of a Senior Lecturer I am responsible for the Minor Injury Management module, Non-Medical Prescribing module and a Foundation degree module for the Nursing Associate programme. With my clinical background/knowledge I also teach on the Critical Reasoning in Physical Assessment module and Minor Illness Management module as well as ad hoc teaching on wound care, pain assessment and musculoskeletal  injuries/management.
