Welcome to the Kingston University Responsible Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship Hub. This knowledge hub brings together scholars and expert practitioners in research areas of responsible innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship.

About the RISE Hub
The Responsible Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Hub advances research and knowledge exchange on a wide range of issues related to entrepreneurship and innovation and how these can be responsibly undertaken for a sustainable planet. We collaborate with researchers at other UK and International institutions as well as public and private organisations. We disseminate research findings through publications in top international academic journals, interdisciplinary as well as subject-specialist conferences, the press and through academic / practice partnerships with corporate organisations and public institutions.

Current research projects
This research project focuses on university-wide innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems (UIEE) and regional entrepreneurial ecosystems (REE) and the nature of symbiotic relationships that can and should develop between the two ecosystems for the UIEE to realise its full potential and play its critical role in supporting continued entrepreneurship within a region.
This research area focuses on technology adoption across a range of social contexts and the role of industry 4.0 and 5.0 in shaping sustainable futures for business, economy, and society.
This research project focuses on replicating existing simulation models on entrepreneurial decision logics of causation and effectuation in environments of risk and uncertainty to test their validity while algorithmically formalising the models.
This project focuses on the regional aspects of entrepreneurship such as the impact of the location on the occupational decision making of individuals and the outcomes for businesses.
This research project funded by the British Academy examines the impact of the pandemic on ethnic entrepreneurs in the UK and how they navigated the complexities arising from it.
This research area covers several projects related to entrepreneurship and innovation in developing countries. These include topics such as occupational choice, small firm growth and financing, and the role of culture, religion and social norms in shaping entrepreneurship and innovation.
