Why do this course?

This course is designed especially for teachers intending to cover Islam as their second religion for GCSE. It will provide a solid grounding for teaching/understanding Islam at any level.

Course description

  • Day one: Background: Qur'an, Muhammad and Hadith, plus Sunni and Shi'a perspectives
  • Day two: Beliefs and teachings
  • Day three: Practices

Course structure

You will learn through an interactive seminar style with plenty of question/discussion time and flexibility to cover additional specific topics.
